These awards are all about the contributions of instructors, businesses & the impact that they have on fitness in their communities. It acknowledges the hard work of community based fitness classes that positively impact the physical, mental & social health of participants.
Jane is a freelance community dance practitioner & Pilates teacher. In classes you will explore a variety of different ‘exercise in disguise’ movements with an emphasis on socialisation, mobility, confidence and FUN!
Information
These classes are suitable for all adult ages, all abilities & are a selection that Jane offers. Classes are for approximately 45mins unless indicated. Make sure you have plenty of clear space around you. Wear some loose comfortable clothing, suitable footwear and keep some water handy. Have your own small clean towel nearby. Please do not exercise if you feel unwell or are injured. Classes that involve mat work, you may wish to place a large clean towel on top of your mat or blanket. For seated classes, choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels. You should be able to sit with your feet flat on the floor and knees bent at a right angle. Avoid chairs with arms, as these will restrict your movement.

ZUMBA ® (Fitness) ZUMBA ® is a Latin-inspired, dance - fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system! This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow choreography from around the world that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to work, sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong
ZUMBA GOLD® A low impact dance fitness class. Perfect for adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, flexibility, range of motion and cognitive challenges. Come ready to work, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.
ZUMBA GOLD® SEATED A fun seated class to improve functional fitness and health. Come ready to work, have fun and be prepared to leave feeling strong and motivated. The design of this original class introduces easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on flexibility, range of motion and coordination. Includes a vocal section which is good for cognitive challenges . Fun for all all adult ages and abilities; Note: Choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels. You should be able to sit with your feet flat on the floor and knees bent at a right angle. Avoid chairs with arms, as these will restrict your movement. (30 mins)
Gentle Stretch'n'Tone Perfect for adults who are looking for a modified aerobic/LBT class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. This freestyle original class focuses on balance, range of motion, flexibility and coordination. Come ready to work, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. (Standing and mat based workout ending in relaxation. Modifications are offered. No weights needed. Towel/Blanket can be used if no mat available).
Pilates Using Classical Joseph Pilates principles, the design of this original class focuses on core strength, functional fitness, balance, range of motion, flexibility and coordination. Jane is wearing a mic & will offer full instructions & modifications. (30 mins)
Sit to Fit A seated class to improve functional fitness and health. Come ready to work, have fun and be prepared to leave feeling strong and motivated. All adult ages and abilities. The design of this original class introduces easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on flexibility, range of motion and coordination. May include the following: a vocal section to work the muscles in the face and neck & good for cognitive challenges; a standing section using a chair (this is optional); a section using light weights (tins or water bottles fine!). Note: Choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels. You should be able to sit with your feet flat on the floor and knees bent at a right angle. Avoid chairs with arms, as these will restrict your movement.
Seated Stretch’n’Flow An alternative to mat work. This is a seated class to help develop the awareness of our bodies enabling us to improve posture, core strength and flexibility. The design of this original class introduces easy-to-follow instructions that focuses on flexibility, range of motion and coordination. Relaxation in the final section, with visualisation to complete a sense of wellbeing and peace. Note: Choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels. You should be able to sit with your feet flat on the floor and knees bent at a right angle. Avoid chairs with arms, as these will restrict your movement. Trim’n’Tone - Perfect for adults who are looking for an aerobic class that recreates the original moves you love at various intensities. This freestyle original class focuses on balance, range of motion, flexibility and coordination. Set to motivating music that will get your heart pumping & offer a full body workout. Hit those legs, arms, tums & challenge your balance & co-ordination while having fun! Come ready to work, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong! Jane is wearing a mic & will offer full instructions & modifications. (All standing class, no mat work)
Body Conditioning - Perfect for adults who are looking for a body conditioning class that recreates the moves you love at various intensities. This freestyle original class focuses on toning, balance, range of motion, flexibility and coordination. Set to motivating music that will get your heart pumping & offer a full body conditioning & toning workout. Hit those legs, arms, tums & challenge yourself while having fun! Section includes some work with light weights (tins or water bottles fine & as always - optional). May also include barre & bench work which we will adapt for home class with a chair. Note: Choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels. Come ready to work, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong! "GET UP & DANCE" With Jane's unique style, this class is perfect for adults who are looking for a modified dance exercise class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. Come ready to work, sing and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. All adult, all abilities (30mins)
Barre Fit Perfect for adults who are looking for a class to improve your balance, build strength, make you more flexible, burn calories, and improve stability through a stronger core. Hit those thighs & glutes , build alignment and tone and elongate muscles. No BARRE? adapt for home class with a chair. Note: Choose a solid, stable chair that doesn't have wheels.
